can i pause or cancel my membership?
founding memberships begin with an initial 3 month commitment period in exchange for locking in your unlimited rate. after that, your membership continues month-to-month at your locked-in rate and may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
members may also pause their membership for one 30-day period each year.
what if I miss a class?
your monthly late cancellation waiver covers you when life interrupts.
once used, standard cancellation terms apply for the remainder of that month.
when will I be charged?
your first month is charged at sign-up to secure your founding rate. that payment is applied to your first active month once Cocoon opens.
when does my membership officially begin?
your first payment secures your founding membership and is applied to your first active month.
your active membership begins when Cocoon opens and classes commence on November 21, 2026.
what is your class cancellation policy?
please cancel your class at least 10 hours before it begins through your Cocoon account.
late cancellations are subject to an $18 fee, and no-shows to a $35 fee. founding members receive one late cancellation waiver each month.
what if I need to cancel before Cocoon opens?
outside of your statutory cancellation rights, founding membership payments are non-refundable.
in certain circumstances, and at Cocoon's discretion, payments may be converted to studio credit valid for one year from our opening date. full details are in your Membership Agreement.
what happens after my first year?
your founding rate is protected for your initial 12-month term.
following that term, founding members will continue to receive renewal pricing below future general membership rates.
what is the late arrival policy?
please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class, and up to 10 minutes after for returning visits. once class begins, entry isn't permitted — out of respect for everyone already in the room.
arrive after doors close and your reservation is released; the late cancellation policy applies.

is the studio heated?
yes. Cocoon uses infrared heat, with three pathways offering different levels of warmth and intensity.
Restore offers gentle warmth.
Ember brings moderate heat.
Ignite is our warmest pathway, reaching 37°C+.
you can move between them depending on what you need that day.
is the studio suitable for beginners?
yes. you don't need to arrive with a certain level of experience, flexibility or fitness.
if you're new to Cocoon, Restore and Ember are good places to begin. our teachers will offer options throughout class so you can meet the practice where you are.
if you're new to heated movement, we recommend spending some time in Restore or Ember before stepping into Ignite.
what should I bring?
comfortable movement clothing , mat towel, face towel and a water bottle. towels will be available to rent if you forget yours.

where are you located/where can I park?
Cocoon is on the 2nd floor of University Heights Shopping Centre, above Café Artigiano.
there are a few easy ways to find us:
free parking underground? enter the underground parkade from Shelbourne Street, then take the stairs or elevator directly to the 2nd floor.
free parking outside? take the covered side stairwell beside Café Artigiano, or use the main vestibule between Café Artigiano + Firehouse Subs for elevator access.
and yes — you can get from your car to Cocoon without getting rained on. very Victoria-friendly.
what is the Deep Room?
the Deep Room is Cocoon's private red light therapy space featuring professional-grade red and near-infrared light therapy.
founding members receive 10% off individual sessions and may choose membership bundles that include Deep Room session packs.
